  I was interested to read the local history section on your website. I am researching my father's family's history- surname Horlock. My Uncle in Canada recently sent me a photocopy of an article from a local paper "...Ham News" in 1958 which recounted the death of my great grandfather Edwin Horlock at the age of 96. He had lived in Walderslade for 58 years at Queen's Cottage and was apparently well known in the area as he sawed down two cherry trees at the age of 95 and at the age of 90 regularly ran from Walderslade to Borstal to Matsons Pond and Blue Bell Hill and back to Walderslade! Any ideas how I can find out more about him and where he lived? Grateful for any help eg what newspaper was it likely to be Chatham or Gillingham? If anyone can help please email Janet directly.
